ISA Award for ‘Outstanding Sport’

The ISA Awards are an annual event which celebrates the excellence of independent schools in a range of categories.

At the 2018 Awards ceremony, amongst 250 guests and from over 150 entries, Appleford School were delighted to be presented with the award for the best school for ‘Outstanding Sport’ (small school).

Rob Fielder (Head of Games) and six members of the Appleford Games staff attended the prestigious black tie event along with David King (Headmaster).

Staff were delighted to meet the host for the evening Danny Crates, a former British athlete, who specialised in 800m sprinting. Danny is a former Paralympic world record holder in this event, and won gold medals in a number of international competitions, including the Paralympic Games, European Championships and World Championships.

Congratulations to all of our Appleford staff and pupils for the incredible work they do.
