17/06/13 – Three Peaks Challenge

On Friday 28 June, 9 pupils accompanied by 4 staff members including the Headmaster David King, will be taking part in a Three Peaks Challenge. They will be climbing each of the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in five days.

Many of the school’s pupils put their names forward for the challenge and during the past two terms there have been many training and hiking expeditions to train for the event.

Headmaster David King, who will be leading the mountaineering party and is a fully qualified MIA instructor said: “I am delighted that our pupils will be taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, for which they have shown great commitment and determination during their training. The task of picking the final team has been very hard indeed, however I will say that each and every child deserves our praise and should be proud of their achievements.”
