Co Curricular
“Co Curricular activities are a key strength of the school”
Independent Schools Inspectorate
We place a high emphasis on the sporting, personal and social benefits of co-curricular activities and as such these play a vital role in life at Appleford. All children are involved in at least two clubs per week and choose from a vast selection of activities which are delivered by our staff.
Additionally, specialist clubs such as horse riding, judo, music and LAMDA are delivered by outside instructors on a weekly basis.
Wednesday afternoons are designated as co-curricular activity lessons thus providing three hours of timetabled sporting opportunities and fixtures with other schools for pupils.
Teachers organise a number of high quality educational trips throughout the year to places such as the Natural History Museum, National Army Museum, Lulworth Cove and the Living Rainforest in Newbury.
