Appleford School is a specialist co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 7-18 with dyslexia and associated learning needs, set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside in the village of Shrewton, just off the A303. Our ethos is to build children’s confidence through continuous support and celebration of success, instilling a belief in our children that dyslexia is no barrier to learning.
Rated ‘Excellent’ by ISI in all categories, the school has been providing the highest quality teaching for pupils with dyslexia for over 30 years.

Appleford has well-resourced and supported small classes and an ethos based on developing confidence, celebrating success and continuous support.  More importantly, we instil a belief in our children that dyslexia is no barrier to learning and we expect them to do well. GCSE attainment for our pupils regularly exceeds national mainstream averages.


Food Nutrition / Technology Teacher

To start in September 2021

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational teacher of Food Nutrition/Technology to teach to GCSE level. First class facilities and a supportive structure for professional development await the right candidate.

Appleford welcomes applications from both NQTs and experienced teachers.

Experience of working with SpLD pupils an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
