Appleford School is a specialist day and boarding school for pupils aged 7-18 with dyslexia and associated learning needs, set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside in the village of Shrewton, just off the A303. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly individual to join our small but expanding team at Appleford School.
You will need:
A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification (Degree/Diploma)
Registration with The Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
Post Graduate experience in Sensory Integration
Minimum of at least 2 years paediatric OT experience
Experience in carrying out clinical assessment, planning and implementing a programme of intervention, note and report writing
A flexible and independent approach
You will be working with a specialist caseload of pupils who have specific learning difficulties including: dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism, language disorders and social communication difficulties. You will work closely with onsite Speech and Language Therapists, the Pastoral Team and Academic and Boarding staff, to ensure occupational therapy targets are incorporated into the educational setting.
