Huge congratulations to four members of Appleford staff who achieved Level 3 Certificate in Assessing and Vocational Achievement (CAVA) qualification.
The CAVA qualification is a nationally recognised qualification for assessors. It provides instructors with the knowledge and skills required to assess learners at their workplace and in a classroom environment. Our achievers, Jemma Taylor (Director of Studies and DSL), Beth Mills (BTEC Teacher and Year 10 Tutor), Dean Filkins (Head of History and Year 11 Tutor) and Sarah Bues (BTEC Teacher and Year 10 Tutor) started the qualification in January 2022 and completed this June. They chose to complete this course to help improve their skills in assessing to therefore enhance their quality of teaching.
