Friends of Appleford

Appleford School is very fortunate to have the support of an active Parents Association that works to enrich the School.

For many years, The Friends of Appleford have raised substantial sums of money to both augment the school’s facilities, help fundraise for charities and provide the ‘hands on’ support at our many special events and functions. It is also a great opportunity for parents to meet up with other parents.

The Friends of Appleford meet regularly at the School. The committee has a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, along with a staff representative from the School. Membership is open to all parents and the committee are always looking for new recruits.

The FoA contribute to School life and annually organise events such as:

  • Christmas Fair
  • Old Applefordians’ Day Summer Fair
  • 2nd Hand Uniform Shop sales
  • Refreshments at school events

Below is a small sample of ‘extras’ that the Friends of Appleford have provided for Appleford pupils:

  • Outside play equipment
  • Portable Cricket Net
  • Printing Press for Art Room
  • Forest School equipment
  • Indoor climbing wall

Appleford very much supports and encourages this important link between school and home.

For further information about the Friends of Appleford and how you could get involved, please contact the FoA Chair, via the School Office.
